Welcome to Nelson Town Deal
Nelson is one of 101 towns in England selected to pioneer a new ‘Town Deal’.
We’ve been awarded £25m from the Government’s new Towns Fund to support improvements across Nelson through regeneration, improving skills and enterprise and connectivity.
The money is being invested in seven key projects:
- A Revitalised Nelson – bringing long-term vacant and under-used buildings back into use
- Accessible Nelson – improving traffic flow and better walking and cycling opportunities
- Advanced Digital Skills Academy – creating new skills facility
- Business Resilience and Growth – grants to support businesses expansion projects
- Healthy Town – improving Nelson’s leisure facilities including the three parks
- This is Nelson – a five year arts and culture programme
- Pendle YES Hub – a one-stop shop to support Pendle’s 16-24 year olds with work and training
