Addressing poor health and wellbeing in Nelson is key to this project which will make it easier for people of all ages to enjoy a more active lifestyle in Marsden, Victoria and Walverden Parks.
In total £840,000 has been agreed for the project, made up of £590,00 Government Town Deal investment and £250,000 from Nelson Town Council.
Improvements include creating better playgrounds and new facilities so that more activities can take place in our parks.
An attractive new shelter by the lake in Victoria Park is planned and there are proposals for better park seating and other improvements.
